Belhasa Driving Center (BDC) is an RTA-approved driving school established in Dubai in 2001 by Dr. Saif Ahmed Belhasa. With a fleet of more than 700 cars and five main branches across the city, it trains drivers for light vehicle, motorcycle, truck, bus, forklift, and shovel licences, plus advanced and refresher courses.

Theory classes and RTA practice

Before the RTA theory test you must attend 8 mandatory lectures, available in English, Arabic, and Urdu, and BDC also offers a theory test crash course. Practise free with our RTA theory test mock tests before the exam.

Practical classes

Practical lessons cover road rules and regulations, defensive driving techniques, and safe, responsible vehicle handling.

BDC fees

A 20-hour beginner car course combines RTA fees of AED 1,350, BDC registration fees of AED 1,265, and a training-hours fee that varies by schedule. The totals are:

First Class packages start at AED 11,490 and VVIP packages at AED 17,500. BDC also runs student, family, and seasonal discounts and offers, so confirm current fees before you enrol.

  • The licence fee is AED 225 (AED 220 plus AED 5 VAT) for drivers under 21.
  • Adding another category to an existing Dubai licence costs AED 325.
  • A RIS translation fee of AED 435 applies before the theory test.
  • Failing the initial assessment or road test requires 4 hours of extra classes before a retake.
  • You must be at least 17 years and 6 months old to register.

BDC timings

Daytime training runs in two-hour slots from 8:25 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday to Thursday, with Friday classes in the afternoon only. Night classes run from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

Note: Branch office and registration hours vary (see below), and timings are shortened during Ramadan.
